-
A 6.5 MW rice husk/coal based cogeneration power plant.
-
Early commissioning of the plant owing to favourable topopaphy of the area.
-
Already existing land not requiring much of alteration.
-
Absolutely no Air, Water or Noise pollution would be generated during the construction and commissioning.
-
Easy availability of raw material i.e. rice husk within a radius of 50 km.
-
No usage of hazardous materials would be disposed off in such quantities to affect the human health.
-
Direct and indirect employment avenues will be created due to the project, which would improve the living conditions of the people.
-
The buildings and other structures for the cogeneration power plant will be constructed.
-
The land is flat and no demolition is required.
-
The required water for power plant operations (1488 - m3/ day) will be met from bore wells. There will be no impoundment, culverting, Realignment or other changes to the water courses or aquifers.
-
Coal shall be transported from other states as per availability. For biomass transportation existing road network will be utilized.
-
No major spoil production is envisaged as there will be no demolition works. However, the spoil and earthwork generated during construction as well as for filling.
-
Small quantity of domestic waste shall be generated by workers which will be treated in the septic tanks and soak pits.
-
Solid waste in the form of Ash from boilers shall be generated. Ash will be used for land filling of designated places. The liquid effluents are generated from rejects of boiler and cooling tower blow down, sewage and floor washings.
-
The liquid effluents of the plant will be settled and neutralized. The sewage water will be led to septic tanks and run off to soak pits and used for horticulture and green belt.
